chow mein hill

sister nina hill has been called to serve as a missionary for our church in korea. nina has been my lifelong friend, and i can't remember a time without her being around. even though i do miss her (she left last wednesday) i'm really impressed and proud of her decision. serving a mission is not easy, it's a lot of hard work and it's not always in completely favorable conditions. nina and i have always lived pretty comfortable lives (even living in the dorms and sharing a bathroom with 37 girls wasn't so bad) and she has chosen to leave those comforts and serve the people of korea; i know i would have a much harder time leaving those comforts. what an adventure though, you never know what's coming next, but nina has a great attitude about life and i know it will be an exciting and gratifying experience for her.
p.s. the "chow mein hill" title comes from what her name will sound like in korean (which sounds something like he-ro chow may) and some how we got chow mein hill from it, and it stuck. it's fitting though right?
